WHY WE DEMONSTRATE
The President is using fear, intimidation and unconstitutional actions in an attempt to silence and control us. While families struggle with rising costs of groceries, housing and healthcare, the administration is sending masked and violent ICE, Border Patrol, and other federal agents into our streets where they illegally seize and incarcerate peaceful Americans.
What did we do on March 28th?
We showed up. And it mattered. Millions of us took to the streets for No Kings on March 28th and made it clear: we don’t do kings; not now, not ever.
Days of action are not enough. Because the truth is: they’re not stopping. They’re still trying to rig the rules, suppress the vote, and sabotage our elections. So we’re not stopping either.
KEEP UP THE MOMENTUM
Join Indivisible CCC (Cottonwood • Clarkdale • Cornville) for our Flag Day Peaceful Protest as we come together to celebrate the values that make our country strong: freedom, democracy, equality, civic engagement, and the right to make our voices heard.
Sunday, June 14th
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Corner of Highway 89A & Highway 260, Cottonwood
This will be a peaceful, positive gathering for community members who want to stand up for democratic values and show that our community cares about the future we are building together.
We're hoping to create a powerful visual display of community pride and civic engagement. Bring a flag that represents your values, your community, your service, your heritage, or the causes you care about. The more flags we have lining the corner, the stronger our display will be.
We'll have face painting for those who want to show their colors and embrace their inner warrior for democracy, justice, and community. Whether it's a simple stripe, a patriotic design, or colors that represent a cause close to your heart, come ready to wear your values proudly.
We would love to include a Presentation of the Colors as part of our Flag Day gathering.
If you are a veteran, currently serve in a color guard, or know someone who does, please reach out to us at:
indivisibleccc@gmail.com
We would be honored to have veterans help us open the event with a flag presentation.
