WHY WE DEMONSTRATE
The President is using fear, intimidation and unconstitutional actions in an attempt to silence and control us. While families struggle with rising costs of groceries, housing and healthcare, the administration is sending masked and violent ICE, Border Patrol, and other federal agents into our streets where they illegally seize and incarcerate peaceful Americans.
What did we do on March 28th?
We showed up. And it mattered. Millions of us took to the streets for No Kings on March 28th and made it clear: we don’t do kings; not now, not ever.
But these days of action are not enough. Because the truth is: they’re not stopping. They’re still trying to rig the rules, suppress the vote, and sabotage our elections. So we’re not stopping either.

May Day - National Call to Action
On May 1st, we declared: workers over billionaires. May 1 was a day of rallies, marches, teach-ins, walkouts, and a refusal of business as usual with: no work, no school, no shopping.
We think this was especially important because it was the first national test of what we can pull off when we call for widespread refusal to participate in business as usual. Successful movements innovate, trying new tactics to achieve their goals. And we know that in order to successfully push back on authoritarianism, we need to not just protest—we need to be willing to withdraw our participation from systems that uphold authoritarianism.
We saw this happen in January in Minnesota. What Minnesota taught us is that when workers and communities organize, care for each other in the moment, and apply collective pressure together, we can win. May 1st was our turn to flex on a national scale.
